Short, not sweet, but entertaining

The story ends on a cliffhanger. The tale requires significant suspension of disbelief. Romance scenes are effective, but I do not think it makes up for the absence of some complexity to the relationship or to the plot. Story is simple and to the point; girl meets guy, one night stand, guy finds girl years later, has to protect her from parts of his life. Not really sure how things will end in the second book. Still, there are some bright spots to it.

While A Zavarelli is a favorite of mine, this is my first book by Natasha Knight. It was fast-paced with lots of twists and turns, and a cliffhanger ending that has me dying to see what comes next. I loved the connection to Zavarelli’s Boston Underworld series, and I was thrilled to get another glimpse of that world. Can’t wait to read the ending to this duet!

4.5-stars Mine by Natasha Knight & A. Zavarelli captivated me right from the start. A story that was full of steamy chemistry, suspense, twist and turns! Kat is where she should not be and that is how she meets Lev. He knows he should stay away, but something about Kat draws him in. But dangers looms and Kat has to make choices. Lev could be cold and cruel, but he could also be protective and possessive. Kat is strong and determined. When life brings them back together, there is so much at stake. Their chemistry is just as intense, undeniable and steamy. And that ending has me not so patiently waiting for the next book! Happy reading!

Omg how could you end it there!!!!! Get ready for one Hot Russian Mafia Man and the woman who started his cold beating heart!
